European Parkinson's Disease Association (EPDA)
The EPDA aims to ease the lives of people with Parkinson's disease and their families and carers by promoting a constructive dialogue between science and society, and by encouraging and supporting the development of national PD organisations.
Parkinson's Disease Non-Motor Group
Parkinson's disease non motor symptoms (NMS) are not well recognised in clinical practice. Part of the reason for this is the lack of any instrument that aims to assess the complex range of NMS of PD in an unified and integrated manner.
European Federation of Neurological Association (EFNA)
The EFNA brings together European organisations of neurological patient advocacy groups, to work with associations in the neurology field, including the EFNS.
European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS)
The EFNS is non-profit organisation that supports neurologists across Europe. There are currently 44 European national registered members. The EFNS represents more than 19,000 European neurologists.
National Tremor Foundation (NTF)
The NTF is an organisation that provides help and advice to those living with Tremor irrespective of age. The NTF became a registered charity in 1994 after it was brought from the USA to the UK in 1992.
Movement Disorder Society (MDS)
The MDS is an international professional society invested in the research and care of patients with movement disorders, including Parkinson's disease, Parkinsonism, myoclonus, startle, tics, Tourette's syndrome, dystonia, chorea, Huntington's disease, ataxia, tremor, restless legs syndrome, stiff person's syndrome and gait disorders.
European Parkinson's Nurses Network (EPNN)
The EPNN aims to help PD nurse specialists to share their knowledge and develop ideas about management and treatment.
World Federation of Neurology (WFN)
The purpose of the WFN is to improve human health worldwide by promoting both prevention of disease and the care of people with disorders of the entire nervous system by fostering the best standards of neurological practice.
National Parkinson Foundation (NPF)
The NPFaims to improve the quality of care for people with PD through research, education and outreach.
American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA)
The APDA. was founded in 1961 to "ease the burden and find the cure" for PD. Headquartered in New York, the organization focuses its energies on research, patient support, education and raising public awareness of the disease.
