Angelo Antonini, MD, PhD, is responsible for the Clinical Research Centre in the Department of Neuroscience at the Hospital Istituti Clinici di Perfezionamento in Milan, Italy. He is also Director of the Information Technology Department at the same hospital. During his academic career, Professor Antonini has published more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 200 abstracts and 40 book chapters. He has also been applicant and principal investigator in several grants in Switzerland, the US and the EU. In 1986, he graduated in medicine with honours from the University La Sapienza in Rome. In 1994, he obtained his PhD in neuroradiology from the Paul Scherrer Institute, University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland.
